Can I get my Kindle surgically implanted into my left hand?
I am loving George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series. I've finished A Game of Thrones and A Clash of Kings and am plowing through A Storm of Swords as fast as I can because I can't wait to find out what happens next! If I'd read a description of these books (another medieval-Englandish fantasy world, blah!) I might not have ever started. But thankfully I launched into the first chapter not knowing what to expect and was immediately hooked by the characters and the weirwoods: ancient, red-eyed trees that the Wildlings were said to be able to psychically see out of. My favorite character: Tyrion, who has every reason to act like a monster and is incredibly decent instead. Or maybe Jon Snow who early on ventures to the edge of the world in the frozen north. Or maybe feisty Arya and her direwolf named after a queen from antiquity...or the 3-eyed raven that keeps urging Bran to fly...
This time tomorrow we'll know if Superbaby's next cousin is going to be a boy or girl! I'll announce it here so stay tuned.
